- Our Proud History -

The RFCT (Riverhead Faculty and Community Theatre) was formed in 1980 by a few Riverhead Middle School Teachers under the direction Of George Moravek who wanted to produce an amateur "Broadway Type" musical for fun; and
in doing so, promoted friendship and cultural enrichment for the entire community.

RFCT determined, right from the start, that any profits would go toward scholarships to support our young people in the Arts.  Through the years, over $100,000.00 has been given away supporting students and our community in related worthy projects.

Although our group had a large number of faculty members originally, today, our RFCT members include some faculty members but mostly actors from all different backgrounds living in the east end towns as well as some from distant communities.  Anyone can become a member and auditions are always open to everyone.

Thank you for allowing the RFCT to serve the Community:)
